As a rule of thumb I tend to use the translated or localized name of a title based on how well it rolls off the tongue or how good it sounds, so I hope everyone understands when I vehemently refuse to call it “Delicious in Dungeon”.

You know what makes me so mad about AI though?
It's that it should be a good thing. We should be excited about it, because it should make our lives better and easier.
But we can't be excited about it because we live in a capitalist hellscape, and AI is definitely going to be used to make it worse.
I'll never not be bitter about that, tbh
Like, as an example... hearings aids. More and more hearing aids are being made that use AI to improve the quality of life for hearing aid users. The AI can literally be taught to prioritize certain types of sounds, rather than just amplifying all sounds.
If the hearing aids can detect a voice speaking, they can prioritize that sound, making the hearing aids more effective. They can also be taught to recognize things like ticking clocks, and not amplify that sound.
Like, AI is revolutionary to hearing aids. And that's just one small example... there are so many ways in which AI could make our lives better, but instead it has to be something we are wary of, because it's going to be used against us.
And it just sucks.
I hate when people say things like "I thought we'd have flying cars by now", because like... it's not that we can't have huge advances in technology, it's that we can't benefit from them unless someone can figure out how to make money from it.
It just makes me so mad that everything that sucks about life was literally invented by people... human existence could be 100% different, but we just keep living this way. It's just so stupid.
